Plateau : Do Not Vote LP For Governship, Margif Urges Plateau Church Leaders, says Plateau Voted Labour Party Because Of Peter Obi, Not Dakum.

By,giwa alex, Jos

The embattled Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Plateau State, Amb. Yohanna Margif has urged Head of church denominations in plateau state not to make the mistake of voting Labour Party led by  Dr. Patrick Dakum the self acclaimed Governorship candidate of the party ahead of March 11th governorship candidates in the state.

He noted that Dakum acquired the Labour Party ticket through a fraudulent means and described him as a distraction towards the realization of Plateau project.

Margif in a latter addressed to Heads of church denominations in Plateau State and a copy made available to Journalists in Jos urged Plateau people to shun the Labour Party at the Governorship election and vote for a party and candidate that will protect the state from the failed eight years misrule of the outgoing APC government.

He said, “I wish to respectfully write to inform the church of how I was fraudulently shortchanged of the governorship ticket of the Labour Party that I lawfully procured. For the avoidance of doubt, I contested and won.

“Regrettably, I was fraudulently substituted with Dr. Patrick Dakum. According to the Electoral Act, a candidate can only be substituted either by voluntary withdrawal or death of the candidate, the procedures for substitution of candidates was blatantly disregarded.

“I am aware that the church advanced the cause of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi in the just concluded presidential election.

The Church may need to know it was my humble self who introduced the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi to Plateau people and funded the party when Dr. Dakum was still a member of the APC where he contested for the Governorship Primary election and came 2nd.

“I pledge my full support for the position of the church, especially, as it was prompted by the flagrant disregard to the christendom by the ruling party, the APC, when the party insisted on a Muslim/Muslim ticket despite the admonition of CAN. Indeed, the position of the church is commendable.

“Now that what the body of Christ fears most; the Muslim-Muslim ticket has come upon us, I would like to passionately appeal to the church to intervene in clearing the ambiguity that thickens around Plateau State in relation to the governorship and State Assembly elections.

“Both Dr. Patrick Dakum and myself are members of the body of Christ, the church may need to intervene and save itself from the embarrassment that may follow if what Dr. Patrick Dakum is peddling on the media about plans by the church on the Plateau to extend the same support it lent to his Excellency Mr. Peter Obi for the presidential election to himself as the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Plateau state is true.

“While noting that the case is still pending at the supreme court, this may serve to avert the misinterpretation of the action I may be forced to take against Dr. Patrick Dakum in the next few days ahead as sabotaging the alleged plans of the Church at supporting a candidate.

“This is necessary because I had already secured an arrest warrant against Dr Dakum and all those involved in the Criminal forgery which I would have executed before now, but for the respect I have for the body of Christ and the church on the Plateau and Nigeria at large which is why am writing this letter to explain my own side of the story.”

He appealed to the Church to go into the next election as a united front and eschew any form of division, saying the massive votes given to Peter Obi will not translate into the vote for Labour Party’s Governorship candidate.

“Let me also use this opportunity to inform the church that I am exploring all lawful means to reclaim my stolen mandate. I wish to thank our church leaders for always choosing and standing on the path of truth.” He submitted

Sacking Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu At This Time, Forcing Him To Resign Is Like Given Madman Matches At The Fueling Station—–Hon. Solomon Dalung

By,giwa alex, Jos

The former Minister of sports and Youths development barrister Solomon Dalung said he will not be among those  advocating for the sack of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC),boss Professor Mahmoud Yakubu because of his abysmal failure in the just concluded presidential/Senatorial election.

As doing that because of his gross disappointment to Nigeria is like foolishly given a madman a box of matches at the filing station forgetting that he will ignite the whole place .

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) chieftain made the submission while briefing journalists regarding the conduct of the election in Jos,plateau State

Challenged INEC Chairman ,Prof Mahmoud Yakubu to remember the promise he made to the people of Nigerians in respect to BVAS and transmission of results from polling Units.

The former Nigeria minister of youth and sports development, Solomon Dalung has accused Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for working against the provision of the electoral act during the 25th February, 2023 presidential and National Assembly elections.

Dalung who contested House of Representatives seat for Langtang North/South Federal constituency under the platform of Social Democratic Party, SDP, admitted that the electoral umpire, INEC squandered the confidence of Nigerians and must address the country immediately before 11th March, 2023 governorship and state Assembly polls.

He further said INEC failure to reached out to Nigerians immediately is going to place the fundamental credibility question on the entire election process, that would rapture the stability of the country.

According to Dalung, INEC have mobilized Nigerians successfully to believed in the workability of Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, BVAS, system which has been tested in some States like; Ekiti, Osun, Anambra and some bye -election in Kogi and it has proven successful and earn the confidence of Nigerians.

And lamented what turned out to be the situation on the 25th February, 2023, appeared to be a negation on the impression created to Nigerians, as this is generating a lot of tension in the country as so many complains trailing the collation of the results, the deployment of BVAS and then violence that has  characterized some part of Nigeria.

He said as one of the actors who contested the 2023 election, the circumstances surrounding my lost and the choice left for me now is I would test the judiciary.

“If you take the provision of the electoral act as it has relate to the downloading the result, currently,if you go to the INEC portal and look at the result of Federal House of Representatives Langtang North and South, you can only find in Langtang North  5 wards were downloaded and those 5 wards were about 30℅ of the polling units.

He further add that on the other side of Langtang South it is the same situation, meaning tlhat there is non compliance with the provision of the electoral law which said results shall be downloaded at the polling units. We also discovered that about 600 ballot papers for House of Representatives was missing on the eve of election in Langtang South.

And challenged Some of the results that was declared by INEC which is in sharp contrast and disagreement with the results our agents are holding.

In one of the polling unit where they declared result ,we scored only 20 votes but our agent on the other side is holding a result where we scored 141 votes.

Dalung however acknowledged that the speculations originating mostly by INEC that some people are trying to hacked into it server is nothing but clearly demonstrated the failure of INEC.

While bearing his mind on  the called for the cancelation of the polls and resignation of INEC chairman Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu emanated at the quarter of the society, Dalung said that the calling for the resignation of INEC boss now is toxic way of advocating for anarchy because you can’t ask the referee to abandoned the match midway.

He stressed that when such happened, you will be calling for chaos .He would have to concludes. It is at the end of the conclusion of his exercise that we can evaluating him and be congratulating him with a sack if that is what he deserved. But asking him to resigned now is the same thing as given a mad man matches at the fueling station.

By, giwa alex, Jos.

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Factional Chairman in Plateau State Honourable Ishaya Itse has said those behind the accusations against the Minister of Women Affairs Dame Pauline Tallen and member representing Mikan, Quan’Pan and Shendam in the federal house of Representatives ,hon.Komsol Alphonsus are those who could not deliver their polling Units in the just concluded presidential/Senate election but desperate for  federal appointments at all cost.

Honourable Itse further said like himself as the chairman of the party in the state, and indigene of North local government I did everything within my political power not only delivered my polling Units, but overwhelmingly delivered the LG for my party APC unlike some people who , despite their position in the party disgracefully lost their polling Units.

The Chairman statement is contained in press release dated 4th March 2023 , personally signed by him and made available to the Journalists in plateau state.

He stressed that its on record that Pauline Tallen and Hon.Komsol Longgap worked tirelessly right from the party primary to ensure Asiwaju BolaTinubu emerge the winner, and its absurd for any person or persons despite their intentions, turned around to accuse them of working against the same Persons , which tantamount to anti Party offence and punishable in the Constitution of the party.

He added that those who shameful lost their polling Units, presently lobbying for federal appointment from the president elect, result to blackmail and character assassination to pave way for their ambition.

He however disowned the faceless group sponsored by unseen hands to cause mischief , blackmail and character assassination that is not know to his office as the State Chairman of the party, and they should be disregard existence, and called on the security agents in the state to ensure they go after them and  track them down, and made to face the wrath of the law.

Re: Plateau- How Pauline Tallen, Komsol Alphonsus Worked Against Bola Tinubu’s Presidential Ambition At The Polls

By, giwa alex, Jos

The expensive hatred by some Faceless persons on the personality of the Women Affairs Minister, Dame Pauline Tallen and member representing Mikan, Quan’Pan and Shendam federal Constituency in house of Representatives Komsol Alphonsus Longgap is the one that has taken too far, that the duo worked against the candidature of Asiwaju Tinubu’s Presidential ambition at polls at just concluded presidential election that saw Tinubu emerged winner

.

As the claim is an infringement of those who never mean well for the two proud daughter and son of plateau State the women affairs Minister and the house of Representatives member Komsol who has distinguished themselves at the national level. is contained in a release  issued by Honourable Komsol Media and Publicity team dated 3rd March 2023 ,and made available to this medium in Jos.

The release read in part:

“Every Wounded Lion Seeks An Alibi or Scapegoat To Blame For Its Wounded Predicament”.

The Nigeria’s 2023 General elections ushered in perfectly the lamentations that followed after the destruction of Israel, therein the expression of David’s lamentation over Saul and Jonathan: “The beauty of Israel is slain upon thy high places: how the mighty heroes have fallen! Stripped of their weapons, they lie dead”.

The least every wounded political lion that has fallen in the recently concluded General elections is expected to do, is to nurse his or her wounds, have self reflection and ponder on where the rains started beating him or her.

Unfortunately, this episode of defeat in gigantic proportion in Plateau State is glorified with blame games from the fallen heroes and they have resorted to using volatile invisible groups in the name of APC Concerned Group in Shendam to smear and taint the unmatchable popularity and acceptance of Hon. Komsol Alphonsus Longgap Alias The Political TEKNI-KAL amongst the locals, who delivered both his Polling Unit and Ward to Nigeria’s President Elect, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

We therefore put the records thus:

Hon. Komsol Alphonsus Longgap Alias The Political TEKNI-KAL has been a believer and Footsoldier of Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Presidential Movement since inception and had course to work tirelessly in consonance with other believers of Tinubu’s project in the State, to deliver Plateau delegates to the now President Elect, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu; unlike some afternoon preys and glory takers who never believed in the Tinubu project and worked assiduously for its defeat during the primaries.

As a consistent faithful of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Presidential Bit, Hon. Komsol Alphonsus Longgap further demonstrated his commitment by making sure Tinubu pulled a total of 140 votes beating his close competitor in the unit the Candidate of Labour Party Peter Obi who scored 65 votes.

While Hon. Komsol Alphonsus Longgap delivered his Polling Unit and Ward to His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, some arrow heads of the campaign and their lieutenants not only failed to deliver His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu in their various Polling Units and Wards, but also failed woefully to secure victory for themselves because they have lost touch with the people at the grassroot. As a result of their defeat and rejection by their own people, they have resorted to blaming Komsol for their defeats, instead of healing from their wounds and going back to the people to seek for forgiveness, for the forthcoming Governorship and Houses of Assembly elections.

It is indeed clear, that these agents sponsoring faceless groups to drag Komsol to the mud, do not have retentive memory to remember that each time they try to bring Komsol down, they end up setting the masses up against them because Hon. Komsol Alphonsus Longgap is grassroot-ted to say the least.

We advise these agents to take their frustrations to the people and leave Komsol out of it, because if they could not secure for themselves victories in the recently conducted elections due to their poor human relations and management, poor performance and lack of quality service delivery, they should not expect Hon. Komsol to have performed some magical voodoo to deliver them.

We challenge the sponsors of the faceless group to show us the results of their Polling Units and Wards, for the world to know if they delivered APC candidates in their Polling Units, Wards and Local Governments. We only wonder what their contributions are to the Party APC in the State and Southern Plateau, since they could not secure victory for themselves and His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu in their various Polling Units, Wards and Local Governments. Hon. Komsol is not the cause of anyone’s defeat at the polls, fallen heroes should have self reflections and stop leaving in self denial.

Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.

Caleb Mutfwang during the March 11 governorship election for the protection and liberation of Plateau.

Chairman of the Group, Simon Dung and the Secretary, Peter Zita in a press statement on Friday in Jos said their decision to support Mutfwang in the PDP was borne out of the interest of unity and the liberation of Plateau people from the bondage of APC and place the state on the path of steady growth and development.

“It is heartwarming to note that based on the official results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the PDP won  Plateau North and Plateau South Senatorial seats and 5 out of the 8 seats for the House of Representatives in the state.

“Information available to us shows that the PDP is coasting to victory at the Plateau Central Senatorial election which the result is yet to be announced by INEC due to over voting and mutilation of results sheets brought from one of the local government area.

“It is on this account that a Coalition of Plateau citizens called “Movement for the Liberation of Plateau” review the outcome of the last election and decided to settle down for the PDP Governorship candidate, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang. We appeal to all patriotic residence of Plateau State to put behind party and ethnic sentiment and settle down for PDP in the March election for the prosperity of our state.”

The group said, although the result of the Presidential election as announced by INEC does not reflects the desire and expectations of Nigerians and called on Plateau citizens to come out enmass and support the PDP candidate to end the self centered APC administration that caused setback for the state.

“We wish to encourage all Plateau citizens and other ethnic nationalities residence in Plateau that the time has come for us to be united and take political decision with regards to who will lead us in the next four years. We cannot afford to divide ourselves ahead of the next election, enough of APC misrule in Plateau.

“We entrusted the state into their hands in the last eight years but we are all disappointed with their performance. Since President Muhammadu Buhari came to Jos in 2018 to commission some projects that Sen. Jonah David Jang started, Lalong has not commission a single project to his credit.

“Plateau has never had it bad as it is now, we cannot re-enforce failure of the APC, we have not witnessed the kind of development we experienced during the PDP Jang administration and we cannot continue with the current infrastructural deficit. It is time for us to say no to APC and take our destiny into our hands by bringing back PDP government on March11, 2023.”

The statement reaffirmed that it is in the collective interest of Plateau people for all citizens to rally round the PDP governorship candidate who has demonstrated resilient, leadership courage and determination to move the state forward.

President Elect Asiwaju Tinubu’s Incoherent Speech At The Collection Of Certificate Of Return.

By, giwa alex, Jos

As I hold this certificate, this moment is one of celebration and gladness for us.

The road has been long. Yet we walked it. The battle has been hard fought. Yet, we won it.

But more importantly, I realize that I am just a servant of a larger purpose.  You see, this is more than a document confirming the positive outcome of an election.

This important document symbolises our collective democratic attainment and even loftier aspirations. It represents trust, the impending transfer of most sacred duty and trust from one person to another.

At its most sublime, can also symbolize that each of you has the ability to achieve what others believe is impossible to achieve.

I stand before you the president-elect. And yes, that is special. But,  I am no different than anyone of you.

If I can do this. You can do better.  You must do better.

Our destiny as a people and nation depends on our ability to shed the artificial restrictions of bias and prejudice so that we live fully unto our democratic creed that no one is innately superior or entitled to greater rights and opportunities than any other Nigeria.

Very soon, this nation shall witness a young person standing before you holding this great symbol of democracy and national leadership. We shall see a woman standing before you, holding this certificate as its owner. We shall experience someone from a tribe that were hitherto dismissed.

By dint of hard work, determination, and unyielding belief the young people listening to me right now shall soon be the leaders of our precious and exceptional democratic republic.

Thus, by taking this certificate, I assume a sacred duty I shall never ignore.

To you the people, especially the youths, I will work day and night.  I will work to the utmost of my ability to make Nigeria better.

For this to be a victory at all,  it cannot simply be a victory for one man or even one party. It must become a victory for all Nigerians who are committed to a greater society.

I know many did not vote for me. And you are disappointed that your candidate is not where I now stand.

I understand your hurt. To you, I extend the embrace and comfort of one family member.

This great project called Nigeria beckons to us all. It is bigger and more important than any partisan divide.

To my supporters, I ask you to continue to have faith in the mission that we have articulated.

To those who didn’t support me, I ask that you not allow the disappointment of this moment to keep you from realizing the historic national progress endeavour make by joining hands and hearts in a common endeavor to pull this nation through.

I am asking that you work with me.  I may have won the presidential election but I need you. More importantly, Nigeria needs you.

My heart and my door are open to you.

I ask you to come in so that we may begin the task of rebuilding our national home together, day by day, brick by brick.

Where there is poverty. Let us create prosperity and jobs.

Where there is hunger. Let us feed the people, chasing hunger from their midst.

Where there is now scarcity, let us rediscover abundance.

Where there is brutality, may we replace it with brotherhood.

Why? violence stalks the land, may we establish peace?

Where others have erected temples to hatred and bias, may we construct permanent monuments to compassion and abiding affection.

History may record this day as one which I officially stood before you as president-elect.

However, I would like to dedicate this day and record it as the moment that we vowed to come together to make Nigeria stand and shine forth at the beloved and brave republic God intended it to be.

2023 Election : Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo Urges INEC To Save Nig. From looming Danger If His Hands Are Clean From Blood Money.

By, giwa alex Jos

The Former President of Nigeria Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has challenge the independent National Electoral Commission INEC , body saddled with the responsibility of conducting Election in the country the looming danger of post election violence in the country.

Obasanjo said this task is possible if the commission hierarchy has not stained their hand with the blood money of desperate Politicians who believed that winning election in this part of the country is do or die affairs even if it Involved killing.

The president speech is contained in a press Statement personally signed by him and made available to this medium in Jos.

He decried the manipulations being perpetrated by the Commission as result of manual accreditation of voters as against the approved use of the Bvas machine which enormous resources have been extended on the facilities to enhance credible 2023 election and beyond.

He called on the INEC that there is still room for restitution to save the biggest Black Africa Nation Nigeria from looming post election violence that may not do any body any good.

However reiterated the need of the commission to wash his hands clean from these desperate Politicians blood money which is at the verge of setting the country on fire.

The statement reads in part;

Nigerian Brothers and Sisters, greetings to you all.

I am constrained to speak at this point.

I crave the indulgence of the President of the Federal Republic of
Nigeria, His Excellency General Mehammadu Buhari, to make this
statement because I have had opportunity to keep him aware of what
know is happening and the danger iooming ahead. On many occasions
in the past, I have not hesitated to point out lacuna in the action of the
President and his government. But as far as the election issues are
concerned, the President has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he
will want to leave a legacy of free, fair, transparent and credible
elections.

Until last Saturday night, February 25, 2023, the good and noble plan
and preparation for the elections seemed to be going well. For the
Independent National Electoral ommission (INEC), a lot of money was
spent to introduce Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), and the
Server for immediate transmission of results from polling units. It is no
secret that INEC officials, at perstional level, have been allegedly
compromised to make what should have worked not to work and to
revert to manual transmission of rasults which is manipulated and the
results doctored. The Chairman of INEC may claim ignorance but he
cannot fold his hands and do nothing when he knows that election
process has been corrupted and most of the results that are brought
outside BVAS and Server are not in reflection of the will of Nigerians
who have made their individual choice. At this stage, we do not need
wittingly or unwittingly to set this country on fire with the greed,
irresponsibility and unpatriotic act of those who allegedly gave money
to INEC officials for perversion and those who collected the blood
money. Let me appeal to the Chairman of INEC, if his hands are clean,
to save Nigeria from the looming danger and disaster which is just
