In his desirous efforts to boost Plateau state Internal Generated Revenue(IGR), governor Caleb Mutfwang has flagged off digitalization of the operations of Tricycles riders aka Keke NAPEP operating in Jos Master plan. 

As the governor further add that the initiative of the government to digitalize the activities of all the tricycles operators , particularly those operating within Jos Master plan, will help to reduce, if not totally eradicated the incessant crimes and criminality allegedly involved by some people masquerading themselves as member of the union.

Governor Mutfwang represented by the honourable Commissioner of transport Davou Gyang Jatau stated this during the flag-off of Integrated Tricycle Transport Management System (ITTMS) held at the conference hall Joseph Gwomwalk Secretariat 13th December 2023.

The governor said all the details of the legitimate operators in the state will be uploaded to the database which will enable the government to plan along with the numbers of Tricycles operating in the state, and track any of the bad eggs within their fold.

He stressed that the government initiative  will also be advantageous to the operators in the sense that government will consider lifting the recent restrictions of the operation of tricycles from 6am-6pm following reported cases of some criminals parading themselves as members killing and robbing defenceless commuters to more appreciable time like 8am-8pm because the government the would be confident that operator who is involved in anything funning will be track by the government through the database. appeal to the stakeholders to prevail on their members to present themselves for data capturing within (30) days from the day of this flag- off  because after the period given by the government ,any tricycle operator whose name is not in the database, should be considered criminal and shall be prosecuted.

Add that Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang in his campaign promises to the people of Plateau State promised to protect  lives , cautioned that the sanctity of lives must be protected first, he said.

The Commissioner noted that the ongoing campaign of rehabilitation of the state capital roads requires huge spending and  transporters need to contribute because they are the constant user of the roads as commercial by paying Revenue to the government.

He charged the tricycle owners /riders to know that the present government is prepared to provide alternative measures to swiftly transform the sector and improve them by appealing to users to key into it.

He employed all the tricycle owners to submit themselves for data capturing through NIN and within 30 days they would have a comprehensive plan policy to avoid kidnapping and stealing.

The Chairman  Tricycle owners Association in Jos North local Government of plateau state,  Fatima Gindiri has lauded Governor Caleb Mutfwang for prioritizing revenue generation and willingness to fight insecurity in the state.

As she said the steps taking by His Excellency governor Caleb Mutfwang to digitalize the activities of  Tricycles operators operating in the state, especially Jos Master plan, aside helping to boost revenue generation for the state government through seamless collections  of revenues, it would held to reduce crime and criminality perpetuate by some riders pretending to be tricycle operators.

The Chairman stated this in an interview with journalists during the flag-off  of the lntergrated Tricycle Transport Management System (ITTMS),held at the Conference Hall  Ministry of Works , Plateau State Secretariat on Wednesday 13th December 2023.

She decried the high rate of criminals hitherto hiding under the guise of the membership of  tricycle riders in the state,using it to commit crime instead  of generating income to improve their lives and that of their family  which is met for,but  give the association and  legitimate operators bad image, so with the government new initiative ,it would be much easier to fish out the bad eggs Within the system.

She further lamented that many innocent people have been killed by these criminals using tricycle aka Keke NAPEP as decoy to carry out their naferiou activities, while some who were lucky enough ,is not without loosing valuable in the process like money and handsets. 

Stressed that with the digitalization of the operation, it will help to reduce those ugly experiences if not totally eradicated as all the operators of tricycle in the state will have their bio-data uploaded into a database which will make it easier for any operator to be tracked when the need be.

She further add  that the government initiative will also help to improve the revenue of the state  because the government have now know the numbers of Tricycles operating in the state through the database and can monitor the system identify those of them that are defaulting in the payment of government revenue.

Commended the government and promised to go back and sensitize her members on the government laudable Programme and the need for them to key into it.

Plateau State Governor, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has joined other well-wishers and members of the fourth estate of the realm in celebrating the appointment of Mr Ephraim Sheyin as the new Editor-in-Chief of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has expressed deep sorrow over the recent atrocities committed by suspected herdsmen in Gudum village, Mangu Local Government Area where lives were lost, and property valued at millions of naira destroyed.

Governor Mutfwang expressed sorrow is contained in a press statement dated 11th December 2023 issued by the Director of press and Public affairs to the governor,Gyang Bere and made available to this medium in Jos. 

According to the condolence message, Governor Mutfwang sympathized with the affected families, denouncing the barbaric and unacceptable nature of the orchestrated attack. 

According to available information, the assailants set Edward Latu’s house ablaze, trapping women and children inside two rooms where seven individuals were rescued after forcing the doors open.

Regrettably,  Edward Latu and two others succumbed to brutal gunshot injuries during the incident. Governor Mutfwang also extended heartfelt condolences to the communities of Maraba Pushit District and Pinper in Komun District, Mangu Local Government Area, which were similarly attacked on November 29, 2023.

Expressing his resolve for justice, Governor Mutfwang directed security agencies to pursue the attackers, emphasizing the need for them to face the full wrath of the law.

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has affirmed his commitment to fostering peace and unity, aimed at  elevating God’s righteousness on the Plateau.

During a Sunday church service at COCIN LCC Nyanya, Governor Mutfwang expressed confidence in the unity of Plateau people under his administration, asserting that significant initiatives would commence when the state stands united.

“I trust God that it shall be well with Plateau. Our trust is in the Lord, and as we embark on this journey, we should all pray for unity in the Church, standing on the side of truth, justice, and equity to exalt God’s righteousness on the Plateau,” he stated.

Governor Mutfwang, who was filled with joy in the presence of God, urged the congregation to remain steadfast in prayer. He thanked the Church for their support, acknowledging that the journey of building a new Plateau is guided by God.

Rev. Ezekiel Mangai, leading a special prayer for the Governor, expressed hope for divine intervention over the challenges in Plateau. He prayed for wisdom and courage for Governor Mutfwang to sustain the positive initiatives he has started in the state.

In a sermon titled “Inviting the Unseen Guest,” Rev. Ishaya Sok drew inspiration from John 2:1-11, highlighting the miracle of turning water into wine by Jesus Christ. He emphasized the importance of inviting Christ into marriages for strong and united families.

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of  Engr. Sunday Hyat, the State’s former Head of Service who died on Friday 8th December  2023 after a brief illness.

Governor Mutfwang, in a condolence message  laments the loss of a leader whose impact in public service has created a void that will be challenging to fill. 

He fondly recalled moments of joy shared with Engr. Hyat, highlighting his significant contributions during the 37th reunion service of COCIN Gindiri Schools Chaplaincy and the recent opening of the Plateau State Government/Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) retreat at Jonggrand Hotel, Bukuru few days ago.

The Governor reminisced about Engr. Hyat’s unwavering commitment to peace and his noteworthy contributions to the socio-economic and infrastructural development of Plateau State. 

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the grieving Hyat family, urging them to find solace in the enduring mark left by their father, husband, and son’s selfless service to humanity.

Governor Mutfwang acknowledged Engr. Hyat’s exemplary leadership as the former Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Plateau State, a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, and an alumnus of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru.

Minister of Labour and Employment Simon Bako Lalong has expressed shock over the death of immediate past Head of Service, Plateau State Engr. Sunday Chong Hyat, mni. 

Lalong expresses deep regrets over the demise of Engr. Hyat who he described as a consumate professional with many records of achievement. 

He said “I was devastated to hear of the death of Engr. Hyat who worked closely with me as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Later Head of Service of Plateau State during my tenure as Governor. He was a competent, reliable and passionate professional who did a lot to actualise many of our physical projects across the State. He was a man that stood for quality, excellence, produce and accountability”.

The former Plateau State Governor also recalled how as Head of the Civil Service, Engr Hyat spearheaded reforms that repositioned the service towards higher efficiency, productivity, industrial harmony and delivery of Government programmes and projects. 

Lalong says the late Engr Hyat will be greatly missed by not only his family, but the entire people of Plateau State and Nigeria at large. 

He sends his condolences to his wife and children, HRH Atar Aten of Ganawuri, Riyom Local Government, the Gindiri Old Students Association (where he was President), the Nigeria Society of Engineers as well as his friends, associates and colleagues. 

He prays God to comfort the family and grant his soul eternal rest.

After 18 months in prison, Rhoda Jatau, a Bauchi woman who condemned the alleged killing of Samuel Deborah in Sokoto State, has regained her freedom.

A reliable source who spoke on condition of anonymity told Punch that Jatau was released on bail on Friday following interventions by the Christian Association of Nigeria, the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council and the Christian Solidarity Worldwide Nigeria.

Recall that Jatau, a mother of five, had been detained since May 2022 on the grounds of blasphemy, for sharing a video condemning the lynching of a student, Deborah.

Deborah, a 200-level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, was brutally murdered after advising against sending religious materials on a WhatsApp p

The source, however, did not reveal bail conditions or which court had granted Jatau bail, but noted that the Inter-Religious Council had played “a key role” in securing her bail and release.

“Following the outcry from the Christian community in Nigeria over the continued detention of Rhoda Jatau in Bauchi Prison, the Christian Association of Nigeria, the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council, and Christian Solidarity Worldwide Nigeria have swiftly intervened in the matter.

“We are pleased to report that Mrs Rhoda has been granted bail and subsequently released from detention today. We have high hopes that the case will end in praise. Let’s continue to uphold her in our prayers. The leadership of NIREC played a key role. Praise be to our God”, he told the publication.

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing away of Mama Nalkat Yah Chirram, the mother of former Minister of Youths and Sports, Hon. Solomon Dalung. Mama peacefully transitioned on November 30, 2023, at the age of 90, following a brief illness.

The Gindiri Old Students Association (GOSA), with deep shock, announce the sudden death of their President, Engr. Sunday Chong Hyat,FNSE,mni.

Engr. Sunday C Hyat,mni died on Friday, 8th December, 2023 in Abuja after a brief illness. 

Sunday  is the immediate past Head of Service of plateau state civil servants.

Until his sudden demise he was the president of Gindiri Old Students Association GOSA  plateau state. 

According to the information released by the Public Relations Officer of the the association Yakubu Taddy, said further information on his burial arrangement will be made available by the family of the deceased in due course.

Barrister Gyang Zi of Labour Party (LP), Plateau State Chapter said he remains the sole candidate for plateau North Re-Run Senatorial district election under the platform of LP.

As he described Abdullahi Salihu Adam who claimed to be candidate of the party as an Impostor sponsored by unseen political distractors working round the clock with  their antics to frustrate his Senatorial ambition in the Re-run  election, and to cause confusion in labor party in plateau state that is hitherto becoming a threat to other self acclaimed largest political party not only in Nigeria , but Africa. 

Zi was speaking in an interview with Journalists during the 59th Convocation of Theological College of Northern Nigeria (TCNN), held at the college in Bukuru , Jos South local government area 24th November 2023.

He said contrary to the claim by the Impostor Abdullahi Salihu, which is obvious of being sponsored to distract the party and his candidature, he has make a formal report to the State Security Service SSS and Nigeria police in the state for an action, very soon the long arm of the law will catch up with him.

Further add that there are some people , in the like of Abdullahi Adam who stock in trade of craftiness as the only way they can achieve  political goal by going ahead to activate this type of craftiness that will not do him any good at the end.

Barrister Zi questioned how Adam hope to change the order of Appeal Court which directed for the Senatorial Re-run election when it was my name that come out after the first election.

Stressed that Ambassador Chris Giwa, candidate for All Progressive Congress (APC),filed action against me in the court challenging my election and that of Dr. Simon Mwadkwon for People Democratic Party (PDP), in turn l filed action both at the tribunal and Appeal court ,and Judgement was entered  in my favour .Asked how then he Abdullahi hope to change the judgement of the Appeal and put his name?

Add that when you look at the whole scenarios logically, you will know that Adam is just being stupid for nothing.

Reiterated that if the Re-run election as ordered by the Appeal court judgement on plateau North Senatorial district  is going to take place today, he remains the only INEC recognized candidate for the labour party (PL) in the state.

However said although he has written to Court of Appeal to declare him the winner and issue him certificate of return  the same way they issued to all others declared by Appeal tribunal.

Said in case that didn’t work out, and they declined, I am very much in the race of contest.

Adviced the people of plateau state, Plateau North Senatorial district in particular that this is their opportunity because even without political office , I can say it without apology that i have done well for the people of plateau state.

Further adviced them to cash on this real opportunity and come out emass and support my condidature in the fourth coming Re-run election.

Gyang Zi congratulated the graduands of Theological College of Northern Nigeria TCNN, for attaining the great feat, however adviced them to hold on to the faith.

Stressed that all the graduands are all adults with children and grandchildren, they should hold on to the faith they will not derail from the way of God.

The Factional Chairman of the All Progressive Congress(APC),in plateau state has send serious warning to Rufus Bature currently parading himself as APC chairman in the state to stop Poke Nosing into the affairs of the party over the nomination of Ministerial slot currently vacant following resignation of immediate past Governor Bako Lalong as minister of labour and employment.

As the Factional Chairman Ishaya Warned the Member Representing Pankshin Kanke and Kanam(PKK),in the Federal House of Representatives, Honorable Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, the immediate Governor of Plateau state, Bako Lalong and the Deputy Secretary of APC at the National level Festus Fantre to stop their respective quest to nominate Ministerial candidate for onward anointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Itse stressed that the self acclaimed Abuja politicians in the like of Gagdi, Lalong and Festus should allow the good people of plateau state free hands to choose candidate that will represent them as Minister, and bring the dividends of democracy to the door steps of the people of plateau, not hand pick candidate that is going there to sleep without nothing to show after his tenure in office.

Called on the party supporters to be calm as everything is under control , said honorable Bako Lalong an Yusuf Gagdi are both his members of APC and he knows how to team them to maintained status quo.

The Factional Chairman reiterated Gagdi and Bako Lalong to stop the Ministerial Slot wrangling capable of heating up crisis in the party.
