Gov. Mutfwang Easter Message To Plateau Citizens

The Executive Governor of Plateau State Barrister Caleb Mutfwang has Urged the citizens of the state to put aside their differences and take advantage of our diversity in Christ to build peaceful , United and Prosperous plateau for our common good.

As the Governor have the fervent believe and confident that by reason of God’s Goodness and Mercy, towards us as a state we shall over come the challenges confronting plateau , urged all to pursue peace at all times and work collectively towards resolving our common challenges.

The Governor made this statement in his maiden Easter message broadcast to the state on Sunday 31st March 2024 to mark Easter Celebration .

He said the celebration of Easter afford us to uphold the remembrance of the Birth, Death and the resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ Our Savior .

” I salute those who observed the lent , l hope valuable lessons most have been learnt in self discipline and self denial key virtue to imbibe for those who follow Christ .”

In the same vein, he further said we need to remained ourselves what Christ have accomplished on the cross of Calvary for our forgiveness and salvation.

He stressed that we all look forward for Easter Sunday , but the holy Spirit brings us to the revelation of resurrection which guarantees Our triumph over all vices and set back which have prevented us from following Christ acceptably .

Urged all to pray for ourselves and others that every aspects of our life as people we experience renewer,

 abundant and advancement.

Prayed that the Glory of the resurrection of Jesus Christ be witness on the plateau and beyond. 

Plateau PDP Chairman Chris Hassan Calls For Renew Hope Amidst Challenges, As Christians Celebrate Easter.

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Plateau State Chapter, Hon. Chris Hassan on Easter Friday 29th Match 2024 expressed confidence that despite facing various challenges, God is with us. He emphasized that Easter is a time to remember the sacrifice Jesus made for mankind and draw strength from it.

The chairman acknowledged the current difficulties faced by the people of Plateau State, Nigerians such as insecurity and other socioeconomic problems. However, he assured the party members and the people of the state that they are not alone in their struggles. He stressed that with their faith and collective efforts, they will overcome these challenges.

The Chairman Easter Friday message is contained in a Press statement dated 29th March , 2024 signed by the Chairman’s Personal Assistant on Media and Protocol Kafas Sumdi and made available to this medium in Jos , plateau state capital. 

The chairman used the statement to called for unity among the party members and urged them to support the government in its efforts to address the issues facing the state. He emphasized the need to put aside personal interests and work together for the betterment of Plateau State.

He however encouraged the people to have faith and trust in God’s plan, believing that He will guide us towards a better future. He urged everyone to remain hopeful and continue working towards achieving the goals of peace, development, and prosperity for Plateau State.

Member Representing Jos South/East  Federal Constituency at the House of Representative Hon. Illiya Alfred Ajang  has lauded the governor of plateau state Barrister Caleb Mutfwang for the good work he is doing in the State barely Ten months in office as Executive Governor of the state.

As the honorable member promised to shun party difference and work with the governor to bring the dividend of democracy to the people of the state who queue in  scorching sun to ensure they give me their mandate.

Ajang made the promise on 28th March 2024 during the commissioning of his Constituency Office and distribution of palliatives to Muslims and Christians for Ramadan and Easter Celebration in Jos , plateau state.

He said the period of politicking are over, it’s time for politicians to come together irrespective of parties affiliation to join hands together with our amiable Governor Caleb Mutfwang to achieve his change mantra and provide dividend of democracy to the citizens of plateau.

He also promised to synergize with the Chairmen of his constituents and the commissioners who are in the same wave length with the governor to deliver good government to plateau people.

Called on all the political leaders in the state, by extension Nigeria not to renegade on the mandate of the electorates entrusted on them during the election, stressed that he will not joke with the mandate , we will use it, and guard it jealousy and the little we have, we see that we give the people of the state the very best.

Further stressed that to compliment the efforts of Governor Caleb Mutfwang , I want to also ensure that I contribute my own quarter to see that we help the Governor in the running of the affairs of the state together.

Maintained that he will also work closely with the commissioners of the state who in their various records are doing well in delivering the governor’s democratic agen to the citizens and the state house of assembly.

The Federal House of Representative member that was sworn in  November 2023, decried the current hardship affecting all the household in the state, and his constituents in particular.

I feel the only way to touch  lives , is by given him food before any other things, as against this background, we are trying to see how we can cushion the effects of hardships in our constituents.

Further add that as legislature , we are not executive, we depend on the stipend we are paid at the National Assembly, is from  our stipends we make sure no matter how little ,we touch the lives of members of our constituents. 

Stressed that the reasons for distributing the palliatives is that considering the current hardships, and our Muslims brothers are currently observing Spiritual Ramadan Fasting, and the Christian are about to celebrate Easter, the palliatives will assist them even if is for Three(3)days it will go a long way to assist. 

Earlier in his speech he announced the names of those he has given appointment which cut across tribal, religious and ethnic dictomy.

And adviced those who is yet to benefit from the just released names of appointees not to be discourage as more opportunities are on the pipeline which may not necessarily be appointment, but juicy than the appointment they are looking at.

Nigeria Security Agencies To Work In Synergy To Defect Insecurity Threatening Nigeria Unity, As Army pays Educational Visit To CP Plateau State.

To defect the current insecuries bedeviling the cooperate existence  of  Nigeria, the military has promised to drop it ego and synergize with other sisters agencies to over the embarrassing menace.

This Synergy is imperative to avoid enemies of country terrorizing the corporate unity of Nigeria not to leverage on the strain relationship between the security agencies to continue Perpetrating their devilish crimes on the nation and defenceless citizens of Nigeria. 

The Army comprises  security agencies, the participants, Inter Agency Cooperation and Coordination Board, under the Army War College  Course (8) 2024, made the promise 27th March 2024 during they paid an educational visit to the Plateau State Police Command to seek information on the activities of the command and how it collaborates with other security agencies, particularly the Nigerian army, in addressing the issue of insecurity in the state and Nigeria as a whole. 

The visit was also aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of the comprehensive approach taken by the Plateau State Police Command in tackling insecurity and promoting public safety. 

The Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Hassan Steve Yabanet, appreciated the interest shown by the participants and stated how the command has been able to enhance its operational effectiveness and ensure a coordinated response to security challenges in the state through Community Policing, Intelligence gathering and inter agency cooperation.

The CP also reiterated the readiness of the Plateau State Command to work closely with other security agencies and strengthen partnerships/collaboration towards maintaining peace and security within the state.

Mutfwang Calls For Unity Amongst PDP Officials In North -Central

Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, applauded the dedication, patriotism, and steadfast support of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) officials in the North Central region for their role in promoting unity in the party.

The North Central region, he noted, has consistently been a stronghold for the PDP since its inception, attributing this to the party’s ideologies and its developmental impact on the citizens.

The commendation came during a meeting on Wednesday with PDP officials from the North Central, led by the zonal National Vice Chairman, Hon. Theophilus Dakas Shan, at Plateau House in Abuja.

Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude to the zonal officials for their unwavering commitment during the 2023 general elections and reassured them that their efforts align with the party’s principles and will not go unrecognized.

He reiterated the party’s mission to govern not for personal gain but for the people’s liberation, voicing his expectation that the PDP will continue to be the people’s party, deserving of significant involvement in its administration.

As the opposition party, the Governor emphasized the need to strive for the governance Nigerians aspire to, stating, “We must offer constructive criticism to the government and ensure the Nigerian people are not shortchanged.”

The Governor announced plans to reform the party into a robust, dependable, and credible political platform that enables Nigerians to run for elections and fulfill the promise of democracy.

Hon. Theophilus Dakas Shan, the National Vice Chairman of the PDP North Central Zone, congratulated Governor Mutfwang on his electoral and Supreme Court victories. He pledged full support to his administration, noting that the Governor’s unique position as the sole PDP-elected Governor from the zone.

He acknowledged the North Central’s role in electing the National Chairman of the PDP by consensus before the 2023 elections. However, due to recent political events in Benue State, he said  the Chairman is no longer in office adding that there was need for the zone  to discuss and address the matter.

 Gov. Mutfwang, CP Plateau Command, Security Chiefs Visits Mikang And Lantang North LGC To Access Security Situation.

Governor mutfwang of Plateau State along with the state Commissioner of Police,(CP), Hassan Steve Yabanet, FCID, security chiefs visited Mikang and Langtang North Local Government Areas in yesterday,  26th  March, 2024 to collaborate with relevant stakeholders, in an effort to assess the security situation of the area to prevent future occurrences of such incidents in the area.

Governor mutfwang represented in company of CP Yabanet was accompanied by  Brig. Gen. Gakji Shipi retired, Special Adviser to the Governor of Plateau State on Security, NAF 551 Commander, Air Commodore Wapkerem Maigida, the Chief of Staff Operation Safe Haven, Brigadier General M.O. Agi,

 NCDC Commandant, CC Alexander Bissa Barunde and the two Local Government Transition Implementation Committee (TIC) Chairmen.

During the visit, the Commissioner of Police expressed his commitment to working closely with the community and all relevant parties to ensure the safety and security of all residents of Mikang and Langtang North LGAs.

Gov. Mutfwang Hosts British High Commissioner, seeks Collaboration In Agriculture And Peace Building

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has announced his administration’s intent to partner with the British Government to enhance the educational sector and establish lasting peace in the state.

The Governor made this known during a courtesy visit by the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr. Richard Montgomery, at the new Government House in Little Rayfield, Jos, on Monday.

Governor Mutfwang said he was honoured to host the British delegation, recalling the history of Jos as a favored city for Europeans in the 1960s and 70s, because of the hospitality and temperate climate of the state.

Governor Mutfwang said as part of deliberate efforts to restore peace and forge greater unity in the state, his administration has appointed the Director General of the Plateau State Peace Building Agency and revitalized Operation Rainbow, the state’s security outfit.

The Governor voiced his commitment to improving the livelihoods of Plateau State people through good governance and strategic partnerships aimed at fostering development and growth.

Dr. Richard Montgomery, in turn, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and outlined his itinerary, which includes visits to notable institutions such as the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), the National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI) in Vom, and the IDP camp in Barkin-Ladi LGA.

The British Government, Dr. Montgomery affirmed, is keen on supporting peace and prosperity in Nigeria, particularly in Plateau State, with a willingness to contribute to agricultural development and security training initiatives.

Offering condolences for the December 2023 security incident, the High Commissioner pledged the UK’s support in aiding the Plateau State Government’s peacebuilding and prosperity efforts.

Gov. Mutfwang Inaugurates Four Committees Includes IDPs.

In a determined effort to fulfill his campaign pledges to the people of Plateau State, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has inaugurated a Task Force focused on resettling Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to their original communities within the state.

The ceremony, held at Government House Little Rayfield, Jos, also saw the inauguration of three additional committees: one tasked with reviewing the structure and performance of the Plateau State Civil Service, another to address complaints stemming from the 2015 upgrade of Chiefdom, creation of Districts, and Villages, and a third focusing on Land Administration in Plateau State.

Governor Mutfwang reiterated his administration’s commitment to tackling the challenges facing Plateau citizens and expressed confidence that the carefully selected members of these committees would guide decision-making without bias.

Highlighting the resettlement of IDPs as a top priority, Governor Mutfwang emphasized the importance of enabling displaced individuals to return to their ancestral homes before the upcoming farming season.

He also stressed the need to utilize all available farmland to enhance security and address the economic decay witnessed across various sectors.

The Task Force, led by Air Commodore Rwang Pam Christopher, is charged with identifying displaced communities, gathering data on IDPs, facilitating their relocation, and implementing security measures.

In his assessment of the civil service, Governor Mutfwang lamented the prevalence of mediocrity and pledged to restore the sector’s former glory.

Regarding the contentious issue of Chiefdom upgrades and land allocations, the Governor acknowledged the need for impartial scrutiny to address complaints and make recommendations in the interest of all stakeholders.

Expressing concern over the misuse of land resources, Governor Mutfwang warned against illegal land ownership and pledged to enforce regulations to safeguard public interests.

He assured residents that the committees’ mandate is not punitive but aimed at addressing pressing issues affecting public health and welfare.

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has condemned in very strong terms, the outbreak of communal hostilities that resulted in the destruction of property and injuries among residents of villages bordering Langtang North and Mikang Local Government Areas.

In the wake of the violence that erupted on Saturday 23 and Sunday, March 24, 2024, Governor Mutfwang extended his sympathies to the victims, denouncing the clashes as unnecessary and unacceptable.

 He emphasized that such acts undermine the government’s intensive efforts to foster peace and unity among citizens of diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds, with the collective aim of advancing the state’s growth and prosperity.

Expressing his dismay over the conflict, Governor Mutfwang underscored the importance of dialogue as the most civilized and effective means of conflict resolution. He questioned the rationale behind individuals resorting to violence, taking the law into their own hands, and targeting innocent communities with arson.

The Governor called on security agencies to respond decisively, and to hold the perpetrators and their sponsors accountable to the full extent of the law. He also urged swift mobilization to the affected areas to prevent any further escalation of the situation.

Furthermore, Governor Mutfwang appealed to traditional, community, and religious leaders, as well as key stakeholders from the affected communities, to initiate dialogue and work towards an amicable resolution of the disputes in order to foster an atmosphere of harmonious co-existence.

High Rate Of Drugs Abuse In Jos- North Abba Na Shehu Ward Sensitizes Members,As Musa Bashir Promise To Take Campaign To Entire Plateau.

As  wide fire ignited by drugs abuse menace begin to raged on , with significant percentage of their youths mostly in the affected ward are gradually giving the hope to the wards through sensitization lecture.

As the immediate past adviser to the immediate past government of plateau state on Inter-Party affairs, Barr. Bashir Musa Sati said its important to start the sensitization against abuse of drugs which can cascade down to other wards in the local council and the state as a whole.

Barr. Musa Sati was speaking in an interview with our correspondence during the Ramadan Lecture on drugs abuse menace and how to curb the it held opposite fire service old Bukuru Park 24th March 2024.

Sati said organizing  lecture of this nature which has druge abuse as it theme is not only apt, but important particularly at this period the Muslims Ummah are observing the holy month of fasting which has spiritual cleansing with self purgation from drugs abuse.

“We are here to conscientize and educate our parents the effects of drugs abuse in the live of our children and the need for us as parents to wake up to our responsibility as parents to fight drugs abuse in the life of children to a stand still.

He Condemned the insinuation that the place where the event is taken place is grossly two small because the targeted audience may not be at the event., he said the journey of thousands Miles started with just a step.

Further add that the event is just Abba Na Shehu Ward,that as time progresses, we hope and pray that the other wards will take a queue into what we where able to start and build on it.

Alhaji Sati who is the former secretary to APC in the state said Abba Na Shehu Ward is just only one ward, we have to first protect our home before going out there and advocate for others, he maintained.

On  what he hope to achieve with this sensitization, he said a mechanism is in place for others to follow, when we have been able to do that, we become shining example to other people within the local government, and the state in general. 

Stressed that this is to avoid starting something that we cannot be perfected , to avoid situation where people we be insinuating that we are clearing other people’s house while our house is over run with grasses.

The Secretary to JNI in the state, Alhaji Sani Mudi  said with the caliber of personality at the event there is no doubt that the information, and decision take will cascade down to the targeted audience.

This he said most of the people at the function have numbers of followers as the sensitization here will cascade down as quickly as possible. 

Gov.Mutfwang Promise To Reposition Entrepreneur In Plateau To Achieve Full Potentials.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State desirous efforts to reposition Entrepreneur and strengthens the growth of businesses in Plateau State, a one-day Stakeholders Engagement on entrepreneurship has been organized by the Office of the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Plateau State.



Speaking at the stakeholders entrepreneurship engagement meeting, Special Adviser to the governor on Entrepreneurship, Danladi Gyang said the meeting will  served as a veritable platform to pull knowledge, experience and expertise as means of creating solution and extend government services to all stakeholders especially at the grassroots.

He said the programme was organized with the sole aim of driving overall economic growth of the state.

He added the the mission is to foster a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in the state that will provide entrepreneurs with support resources and opportunities they need to succeed in today’s competitive market.

The event took place on Friday March, 22nd 2024, at the Patrick Hall of Crispan Hotel and Suites, along RayField road, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, with the theme “Redefining Entrepreneurship”.

In his keynote address, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ephraim Usman, stressed the need for team work to ensure that all the under represented and marginalize entrepreneurs on the Plateau are on the economic scale of the state through various support and programme to develop their businesses.

On his part, Director General PLASMIDA, Bongkat Wuyep, in his keynote address maintained that efforts most be made towards achieving social impacts through empowering Plateau State entrepreneurs to boost long term productivity.

Also, addressing the stakeholders during the meeting, Chairman Plateau State Internal Revenue Service, Jim Wayas Pam, said for government to be able to pave the way for aspiring entrepreneurs to succeed, there’s a need for citizens to pay their taxes.

The one day stakeholders entrepreneurship engagement had dignitaries from different Ministries and Department as well as representatives from both public and private sectors in the state.

The event also featured questions and answers session as well as tour of various displayed products and presentation of Plateau Business Agenda.

Plateau Citizens Decries Lack Of Portable Drinking Water, As World Marks Water &  Sanitation International Day .

The citizens of Plateau State North Central Nigeria has raised an alarm over gross shortage of portable drinking water in the state in particular, and Nigeria in general.

As they said until something urgent is done to address the trend , the state by extension Nigeria may just be bracing up for worst hit epidemic occasion by non availability of portable drinking water.

The alarm was raised 22nd March 2024 during the celebration of this year 2o24 World Water and Sanitation day held at Elan hotel  to appraise the availability of portable drinking water to  citizens of the state in particular ,by extension Nigeria in general  and World Globally. 

In his key note address, lecturer  with the  Department  of  Sociology University of Jos ,Shedriack Gaya Best   said crisis of portable drinking water is not only peculiar to the state, Nigeria as a nation, it has extended to Africa as  a whole as it’s now  use as weapon by some privilege nations for economical ,socially and other means  to measure their strengths over other countries especially in Africa where lack of portable drinking water is endemic .

Shedriack Best stressed that if government is able to satisfy her citizenry with the provision of basic portable drinking water, significant parts of their problems will  be solved .

However emphasized that the importance of water to the live of human beings cannot be down played , as research  has revealed that human body is comprises of 70 percent of water which means water is important in the live of human beings.

He further itemized the usefulness of water to include washing of dishes, clothes and bathing and above all use for agricultural production, like irrigation for dry farming. 

He further stressed the importance of water to agriculture which  is used for both dry and raining season farming.

Further highlighted the advantages of portable water to include the generating industry and  electricity .

Reiterated  that  a state, country and the World cannot be said to have relative peace if the populace are thirsty and didn’t have access to portable drinking water for consumption and domestic use.

The country Director of TASTE Nuhu Yakubu Chayi in his speech said the vision is to see the poor vulnerable communities transformed as demonstration of God’s love .

Add that the mission and vision of TASTE is demonstrate the love of God through the transfer of appropriate sustainable technology and expertise.

The country Director further said in the last two years 2022 and 2023 TASTE has partners with various donors organizations and the state government of Nigeria at various cadre worthy of mention are Tearfund Nigeria, EU ACT, state of Guernsey and host of others.

He however thank the organization s that has bring the services to the people who are in a dare need.

And praise God for the opportunity to serve humanity.

Gov. Caleb Mutfwang Calls For Electoral Reforms That Respect Citizens Choice.

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has advocated a comprehensive and transparent electoral reforms that respect and uphold the electoral decisions of citizens, rather than deferring to election tribunals to determine election outcomes.

Governor Mutfwang expressed optimism that a transparent, unambiguous, and fraud-free leadership selection process would yield credible leaders through free and fair elections.

Governor Mutfwang made these remarks at the annual colloquium with the theme “Electoral Judicial Reforms: Imperatives for Nigeria’s Democracy, Governance, Leadership, and Selection Process,” organized by the Haske Satumari Foundation in Central Business District-Abuja.

In his keynote address, “The Imperatives for Electoral and Judicial Reforms,” Governor Mutfwang highlighted the numerous challenges facing the electoral process, including voter intimidation, violence, and irregularities that compromise election credibility.

He emphasized the necessity of electoral and judicial reforms to strengthen democracy and citizen participation, noting that the judiciary has a vital role in maintaining electoral integrity.

Governor Mutfwang called for sweeping judicial reforms to foster a fair, efficient, and independent judicial system that prioritizes citizens’ fundamental rights and respect for the choice the make during elections.

He pointed out the judiciary’s duty is to ensure legal compliance, especially in pre-election matters, and criticized the Plateau scenario for its blatant disregard for judicial precedents and stare decisis principles.

Governor Mutfwang concluded, “Electoral reforms are crucial for preserving electoral process integrity and legitimacy, building public trust in democratic institutions, and ensuring free and fair elections. The success of these reforms hinges on political will, stakeholder engagement, and robust implementation and enforcement to effect real improvements in the electoral system.”

Nigeria’s Human Rights Activist and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, also delivered a keynote address on electoral reforms while former President Goodluck Jonathan was represented by former Vice President, Architect Namadi Sambo, and the Mayor of Entebbe-Uganda, Fabrice Rulina.

Dr. Alfred D. Skari, Chairman of the Haske Foundation, highlighted the foundation’s commitment to humanitarian activities, promoting peace and unity, and supporting families who have lost their breadwinners and means of livelihood.

The panel included former House of Representatives members, Honorable Beni, Honorable Dachung Musa Bagos, Alh. Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, Chairman IPAC among others. 

CP Hassan Steve Yabanet Presents Cheques To Families Of Police Fallen Heroes In Plateau.

The Commissioner of Police Plateau State Command, CP Hassan Steve Yabanet, FCID, psc(+) on behalf of the Inspector General of Police has presented cheques worth Two Million, Eight Hundred and Seven Thousand, Four Hundred and Forty-five Naira, Ninety Kobo (N2, 807,445.90K) to families of Police officers who paid the supreme price while in active service of the nation. 

This is contained in a Press statement dated 20th March 2024 signed by Police Public Relations Officer(Ppro), plateau State command DSP Alfred Alabo made available to this medium in Jos, plateau State. 

While presenting the Group Life Assurance and IGP Family Welfare Scheme Cheques to the beneficiaries in his office at the Police State Headquarters, Jos today, the Commissioner of Police who sympathized with the families of the deceased officers said that his Command shares in their grieve as their breadwinners were personnel of his Command before their demise.

He told the beneficiaries that the IGP, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM prioritizes the welfare of both serving members of the force and families of deceased Police officers. According to the CP, the amount written in their cheques might not be sufficient to satisfy their enormous needs but it will go a long way to cushioning the effect caused by the loss.

The Plateau Police Chief further advised them to use the sums issued to them judiciously to cater for their needs and that of their children, adding that the IGP appreciates the uncommon sacrifices of their lost loved ones.

In her remarks, Mrs Gana Laitu Joseph who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries thanked the IGP and CP for expediting action on the issue of their benefits and prayed to God to continue to protect Policemen and their families against misfortunes.

Gov. Mutfwang To Step On Toes To Rid Jos/Bukuru Metropolis Of Street Trading, As Shopping Complex/Ultra-Modern Motor Park Commissioned In Plateau

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State said if to step on toes is an option left to ride Jos /Bukuru Metropolis of illegal streets trading and indiscriminate erection of unapproved structures in the State, he will not hesitate to do just that.

As the governor advised those culpable  of the said acts  to do the needful by taken the legal and government designated area for trading ,as PDP led government in the state is saddled with the responsibility to ensure the safety of all citizens irrespective of Political divide under his watch .

Mutfwang stated this during official commissioning of Shopping Complex /Ultra-Modern Motor Park Along Bukuru Express Way, Gyel Jos South LGC on 20th March 2024.

He said though the project may  appeared to be small, it’s an efforts of the “Time is Now ” administration led by PDP in the state to restore the days in the past that has been eaten by Locust and Pama Worm when APC government held sway in the affairs of government in the State.

He further stressed that with the commissioning of the Park today, it will make it easier for the vehicles parking indiscriminately along the road to come into the park and park comfortably.

Urged those that would be in charge of managing the facility to always remember the adage which says “whom Much is Given, Much Is Expected”, so avoid cutting corners in the process of entrusting the facility on your care, be transparent and accountable to generate revenue for the council, and by extension the state in general.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Transition Implementation Committee Chairman of Jos South Local government Council, Hon. Peter Vwang Daung said the park was ones his brain child as then the chairman of the council before he was forced out of office by the immediate past administration led by Simon Lalong which was not completed before they were booted out.

He further add that as God designed, he was brought on board as the transition implementation committee chairman of the Same council , it’s an opportunity for me to complete what i started particularly  that the project has direct bearing on the live of the people of jos South LGC in particular, and the entire state as a whole,he maintained.

He thank His Excellency Barrister Caleb Mutfwang for the trust he has on him and other councils Chairmen in the state to serve, promised that they will ever remain indebted to him for this rear gesture and promised never to do anything capable of soiling the image and reputation of “The Time Is Now” administration.

The high point of the event is the official commissioning of the Park, which is named after the former first Lady of plateau  state “Ugo Talatu Jang Shopping Complex/Ultra Modern Motor Park.”
